the cultural dance building honors the chetti ancestors' journey to the old melaka shoreline, reimagining their vibrant, sensory-rich streets on the new melaka shore. It connects the chetti community and visitors, fostering cultural ties for future generations.

we learned a lot into the concept of poetics, emphasizing the creation of a compelling narrative that ties back to culture. this experience has shaped my understanding of how we engage with reclaimed land and how these interactions influence design. alongside this, i’ve gained valuable skills in using revit for design and rendering software for visualizing concepts, as well as mastering tools like photoshop.
